Underground Operations Manager

Our team is seeking an experienced Underground Operations Manager to support our underground mining operations. This important role requires leadership and direction to ensure the execution of daily and weekly plans, while maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental obligations.

Paid accommodation will be supplied to the successful incumbent for working the allocated roster. The role may be worked on a DIDO/Residential basis.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and direction to underground shift crews in all planned mining activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental obligations.
  • Managing performance by monitoring shift personnel and enforcing standards of work and behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Underground Longwall Mining.
  • Holder of certificate of competency as Undermanager or equivalent qualification.
  • Desired minimum of 10 years' experience in the mining industry.
