Job Overview

The workflow team is accountable for driving the architecture, design, build and governance roadmap across various technologies.

As Senior Engineering Manager - Chapter Lead in Workflow, you will lead engineers that report to you, instilling a growth mindset and innovative ways of working.

You will be hands-on to lead ongoing change and development for the workflow solutions and provide technology oversight to different business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead high-performing cross-functional engineering teams
  • Collaborate with engineers to build and deploy multiple technology solutions
  • Design and deliver technology solutions that solve complex business and technology problems
  • Translate project vision into actionable plans and iterative delivery
  • Challenge the status quo and influence stakeholders at various levels
Technical Skills
  • Hands-on engineering manager with experience in leading software engineers in building cloud scalable platforms
  • Expertise in API specification, design, registration, and tooling (OpenAPI, AWS Gateway)
  • CI/CD: experience with automated pipelines (GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and GitRepo)
  • DevOps: Familiarity with observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty)
  • Languages: C#, .NET Core, SOAP/REST APIs, Microservices, containerisation; Node, Python, scripting knowledge
  • Artificial Intelligence: Knowledge in AI technologies and tooling enhancements
  • Data engineering: Building a data lake with real-time and near real-time services, data transformation, aggregation, offering through API endpoints
  • Test Automation: Unit/integration/acceptance/performance testing for API
  • Security: Defence in depth, identity management, encryption, cloud security obligations
  • Distributed, low latency environments; Databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL (MongoDB)
  • Familiarity in event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ) and orchestration (Apache Camel, Temporal, Mulesoft)
