About this Senior Child and Family Therapist Role:
This is a senior position within our child trauma service, where you will provide direct therapeutic support to children and young people who have experienced trauma.
You will work closely with professionals and carers to develop trauma-informed approaches that support healing from trauma.
Main responsibilities include conducting in-depth assessments, offering counselling and support to children and families, and designing and implementing therapeutic programs.
A strong understanding of child development, psychology, and trauma-informed practice is essential.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in assessment, intervention, and consultation, with experience working with children and families impacted by trauma.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- You hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Social Work and have significant experience in the area of child abuse and/or working with traumatised children.
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with external partners and stakeholders.
- You are committed to ongoing learning and reflecting on your practice.
