About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Pure Consultancy in Ipswich. As a key member of our business services team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and providing compliance and tax services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and taxation, with a minimum of 3.5 years' experience in a public practice environment. You will be required to process financial statements and tax returns for small business entities, prepare and lodge BAS/IAS, and provide personalized tax planning and advice to clients.

As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality services to our clients. You will be expected to maintain excellent communication skills, build strong relationships with clients, and contribute to the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure their business affairs are well-managed.
  • Prepare and lodge financial statements and tax returns for small business entities.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS on behalf of clients.
  • Provide personalized tax planning and advice to clients.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our business, identifying opportunities to improve processes and services.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3.5 years' experience in a public practice environment, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and taxation principles, including financial reporting and tax law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality services and making a positive impact on our clients' businesses.
