About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at Fletcher Building. As a key member of our branch operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our branch, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, and contributing to the growth and profitability of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day operations of the branch, including counter sales, picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.
  • Engage with the team to motivate and develop their skills, ensuring they have the knowledge and support needed to excel in their roles.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of branch strategies, working closely with the Branch Manager to drive growth and profitability.
  • Ensure the branch is operating safely, with a strong focus on supporting the team to go home safe every day.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a trade or retail environment, with a strong understanding of cash handling and financial transaction management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong focus on supporting and developing others.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
