Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

Leumeah High School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics education to students in Years 7-12.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a large, coeducational comprehensive school with a strong focus on pastoral care and wellbeing. Our school has a diverse student population, with approximately 45% of students from language backgrounds other than English and 10% identifying as First Nations students.

As a Mathematics Teacher, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning programs that engage and inspire students' interest in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality mathematics education to students in Years 7-12
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning programs
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve school goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Approval to teach mathematics (Years 7-10), mathematics (Years 11-12), and mathematics extensions 1 & 2
  • Highly developed classroom management skills and ability to build positive relationships
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
  • Proven knowledge and experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching and learning programs
