About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Compliance and Advisory Lead to join our Finance team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Accounting Advisory & Governance Manager, this position is responsible for:

  • Supporting a wide range of corporate governance and compliance requirements, including regulatory reporting and risk management.
  • Providing ongoing support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and APRA.
  • Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses, including system integrations and process improvements.
  • Providing technical accounting advice to the wider network.
  • Supporting the implementation of Finance Transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with SOX and APRA requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate newly acquired businesses and implement process improvements.
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the Finance team and other stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of Finance Transformation projects, including process improvements and system integrations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in a large Compliance/Finance/Accounting function within a complex organization.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly developed analytical skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage conflicting and changing priorities.
  • Experience in compliance activities and SOX/APRA reporting requirements is highly desirable.
  • Experience with acquisitions, divestitures, and legal entity corporate simplification is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or similar qualification or equivalent knowledge and skills developed through professional experience.
  • Completed professional accounting qualification (CA / CPA).
  • Full unrestricted working rights within Australia.
