Job Summary:

We are seeking an Administrative Support Officer to join our team. This is a short-term opportunity with the potential for extension.

This role will provide efficient clerical and administrative support, including data entry, customer service and document preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative assistance to staff as required
- Maintain records of plant and equipment in Fleet Management System
- Filing and amendments to audit trails
- Attend to enquiries in person and over the phone covering operation of the branch and initiate action
- Collate and enter staff timesheets into Council's timesheet system
- Reconciling credit card spending
- A variety of data entry, including hire requests, invoices and equipment hire details
- Assist processing vehicle registrations, including renewals and changes
- Liaise in preparation of vehicles for delivery and disposal
- Perform ad hoc admin duties as required

Requirements:

- Previous experience in an administrative or similar role is necessary, especially sound data entry and word processing skills
- Must have a White Card or be willing to obtain one
- Previous customer service experience is beneficial
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook and Excel
- Previous experience with payroll support is beneficial, including cash handling and maintaining timesheets, calendars and schedules
- The ability to develop knowledge of practices and procedures relevant to Plant Fleet Services is beneficial
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Previous council experience is well regarded

Working Conditions:

- Monday - Friday 38 hours per week
- 2 month contract with potential for extension
