Job Summary

Head Medical is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team in a regional Victorian city. As a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, you will provide high-level clinical care to orthopaedic services, managing elective and emergency presentations, attending Specialists' Clinics, inpatient referrals, and patients admitted through the emergency Department.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with one other Orthopaedic Surgeon to provide a wide range of orthopaedic services in conjunction with nursing and allied health staff and fellow surgical specialists. The hospital's Emergency Department is the regional trauma centre and acts as a referral centre to metropolitan hospitals where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level clinical care to orthopaedic services
  • Manage elective and emergency presentations
  • Attend Specialists' Clinics, inpatient referrals, and patients admitted through the emergency Department
  • Work collaboratively with one other Orthopaedic Surgeon and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABS Certified) or New Zealand.

About the Location
