Job Title: English Language Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching TESOL classes, developing and marking assessment tests, attending meetings, and undertaking professional development training.

  • Preparation and delivery of TESOL classes following SCIC's curriculum guidelines;
  • Development and marking of assessment tests;
  • Attending meetings once a fortnight and undertaking professional development training as required;
  • Administrative duties as required;
  • Organising and supervising activities and special events.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent;
  • A recognized TESOL qualification;
  • Experience in TESOL teaching preferred;
  • A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory.

Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills;
  • ICT knowledge - word processing skills and knowledge of various software;
  • Keen desire to work with students; patience and enthusiasm;
  • Time management and planning skills.

Working Arrangements:

  • Casual position;
  • Four days/five evenings per week;
  • Monday to Friday.
