Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dairy Farm Hand to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, milking cows and rearing calves.

As a Dairy Farm Hand, you will be responsible for operating the milking plant and equipment, maintaining the cleanliness and general maintenance of the dairy shed and surrounds, as well as animal husbandry practices and treatments.

You will also be involved in calf rearing, heifer feeding and care, and bringing the cows to and from the dairy.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with livestock, particularly cattle, and possess strong communication skills.

This role involves shift work on a rotational basis, including weekend shifts, and we aim to be as flexible as possible to meet individual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate milking plant and equipment

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with livestock, particularly cattle
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability for shift work, including weekends
