Job Title:

Learning Support Officer

">Job Description:

We are seeking a vibrant and energetic Learning Support Officer to join our school community. This role will involve working with individual students in Years P-4, as well as supporting groups of students across various classrooms.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Catholic ethos of the school through daily interactions with students and staff
  • Assist students to achieve their best academic and personal potential
  • Develop strong interpersonal relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities undertaken
  • Provide support for students with special needs, in accordance with Individual Learning Plans (ILP)
  • Participate in the life of the school community, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
">Selection Criteria:
  • A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Patience and empathy when working with students who may require additional support
  • An understanding of child safety principles and practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing educational environment
">Certification Requirements:
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Driver's Licence or other photographic proof of identity
