As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), your primary responsibility will be to collect blood and coordinate specimen samples from patients, utilizing your empathy and dedication to provide exceptional customer service and quality healthcare.
Reporting to the Collection Lead and collaborating with a passionate team, you will play a crucial role in positively influencing the health of Australians.
Key Responsibilities:
Collecting samples (both blood and non-blood) with precision and care. Maintaining meticulous records for each patient and sample. Ensuring timely delivery of documentation within strict turnaround times. Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing. Communicating effectively with customers, clinic staff, and couriers.About Us:

Proven experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy / Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a relevant healthcare background. Transferable skills acquired in other roles within the healthcare industry are highly desirable. Excellent customer service and communication skills, demonstrating a high level of empathy. Strong organizational skills, with effective time management and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, sometimes in a solo clinic environment. Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics. Possession of a Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one. Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.If you lack qualifications or experience in Phlebotomy but possess a healthcare background and a passion for helping others, along with a proven record of delivering excellent customer service, we will provide you with comprehensive training and mentoring to ensure your success.
Vaccine Requirements:
Evidence of vaccination against preventable diseases such as Hepatitis B is a requirement for this role. Additional vaccinations may be required based on location or setting.
