Emergency Medicine Specialist Opportunity

The role involves working as an experienced specialist Emergency Medicine Consultant registered with the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) to contribute to the provision of high-quality healthcare across regional hospitals.

Our Emergency Medicine departments handle a broad spectrum of cases, ranging from high-acuity scenarios, trauma presentations, and interhospital transfers from smaller inter-regional hospitals.

The FACEM will provide specialist emergency medical care and ensure smooth patient flow for patients presenting to the Emergency Department.

Clinical leadership is required to ensure optimal outcomes to patients through working with the multidisciplinary team including rural generalists.

The FACEM supervises the work of Registrars and Junior Medical Officers (JMO's) and is involved in teaching both JMO's and medical students.

Regional centres offer a unique lifestyle advantage alongside delivering vital healthcare services. The state's varied landscape comprises seven distinct regions, each offering diverse environments, including serene beaches, rugged outback, thriving vineyards, and lush forests.

We have several major regional centres, including Goldfields region – Kalgoorlie Hospital, Great Southern region – Albany Health Campus, Kimberley region - Broome Hospital, South West region – Bunbury Health Campus & Busselton Health Campus, Midwest region – Geraldton Health Campus, Pilbara - Hedland Health Campus and Karratha Health Campus.
