Electrical Trainee Signalling Specialist

Aurizon is seeking an Electrical Trainee Signalling Specialist to join our Port Augusta/Whyalla team in South Australia.

About the Role:

This role involves conducting activities relating to the installation, maintenance and repair of all signalling and level crossing equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting on the performance of the signalling asset to ensure safe and effective operation.

Once fully qualified, this role will involve maintaining and fault clearing Aurizon's signalling and wayside assets predominantly in SA, with occasional travel in the NT.

The role requires a strong work ethic and positive can-do attitude, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative.

A Certificate IV in Electrical (Rail Signalling) qualification is required for this role, which includes attending the Aurizon Training Centre in Rockhampton over approximately five, 2-week blocks per year.

About You:
  • You must be a qualified Electrical Tradesperson with a strong commitment to safety and ability to actively apply safety management principles.
  • You will possess an electrical trade qualification or equivalent and an unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
