Job Title: Auxiliary Firefighter

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness, and developing and maintaining competencies through regular training and drills.

You will work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services through a single agency. This collaborative approach will help improve safety outcomes for the community.


Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency incidents as a member of a team
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular training and drills
  • Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
  • Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities
  • Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities
  • Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required
