About Our Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician - Auto Electrician to join our team at Olympic Dam. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional maintenance support and contributing to the success of our operations.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing auto-electrical trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance, maintaining equipment, conducting servicing or complex diagnostics as part of the underground team. They will also assist with any planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely manner. Additionally, they will work with their team to a high level of accountability and be able to build productive team relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Perform auto-electrical maintenance tasks, including unplanned or breakdown maintenance
  • Maintain equipment, conduct servicing, or complex diagnostics as part of the underground team
  • Assist with planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Work with the team to achieve individual, team, and site objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Australian recognised Auto-Electrical trade qualifications (or a closely related field) with experience in heavy machinery
  • Underground mining experience highly regarded
  • Rigger, Dogger, Crane, FL and Bridge & Gantry tickets, also advantageous
  • Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • A proactive team player who is also self-motivated and able to work effectively unsupervised
  • Ability to communicate well across multiple levels and disciplines
