Job Description
  • Perioperative Anaesthetic Care:

We are seeking an experienced anaesthetist to deliver specialist perioperative and anaesthetic care, including on-call services.

As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the leadership and organisation of perioperative services.

Supervision and Training:

You will supervise, train, and assess junior medical staff, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this field.

Comprehensive Anaesthetic Services:

The department supports cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, paediatrics (including neonatal), obstetrics and gynaecology, trauma (major trauma referral centre), general surgery, and orthopaedics, as well as high-risk perioperative medicine.

Our comprehensive services span elective, urgent, and emergency cases, making us a tertiary referral and trauma centre.

Requirements
  • Qualifications:

A primary medical degree registered with AHPRA is essential, along with fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).

Recent and comprehensive experience in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine is also required.

Skills and Attributes:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Strong leadership and organisational skills are also essential for managing perioperative services.
