Position Overview

The IT Auditing division at KPMG is composed of specialists who are essential to the effective execution of our IT External/Internal Audit projects. Our commitment lies in assisting clients in assessing their IT control frameworks. Risk Consulting is an expanding sector focused on aiding clients in understanding, managing, and supervising their risks, particularly in the context of regulatory and conduct changes.

Your Role

As a Senior Consultant within the IT Audit division, your contributions will include:

  • Executing a range of Technology Risk assurance and advisory initiatives, encompassing internal audits, external audits, attestations, and first & second line technology risk advisories.
  • Mentoring and developing team members, providing challenging assignments to enhance their skills.
  • Offering technical expertise, guidance, and training to team members involved in engagements.
  • Assisting engagement managers with overall project management and crafting clear, concise reports for IT leadership and CIOs.

Your Qualifications

To qualify for this role, your credentials, skills, and experience may include:

  • A background in external/internal auditing and/or risk management (preferably with a professional services organization) with at least 2 years of experience. US-SOX certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of technology risk and controls.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with a wide range of clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and share knowledge with team members to enhance their capabilities.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Accounting, Information Systems, Commerce, etc.), CA or CISA equivalent, or the potential to obtain a CA or CISA certification.
