We are seeking a dedicated Home Care Worker to join our KinCare team in the South of Canberra. As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers.

Job Summary

This is a permanent part-time position offering guaranteed hours close to home. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure your success in this rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry services, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating habits and independence.
  • Offer social support and transportation to lifestyle activities, fostering engagement and connection with the community.
  • Deliver personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, with empathy and compassion.
  • Provide respite and emotional support to our customers, acknowledging their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Transport customers to appointments, ensuring timely and reliable access to essential services.
  • Administer complex care to customers with high-care needs, such as dementia, requiring specialized skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • 6 months or more experience in a similar role, including personal care skills.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and registered vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask for help.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
