Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues
  • Troubleshooting braking systems, steering, and cooling systems
  • Maintenance of equipment including brakes and suspension
  • Assembling, fitting, cleaning, and lubricating machined parts
  • Troubleshooting electrical faults and completing electrical systems
  • Preparing new machines for sales teams
  • Completing scheduled servicing
  • Machine and component rebuilds
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic faults

Requirements:

  • Keen interest in mobile plant equipment and heavy vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Ability to assess workplace risk
  • Enthusiastic and strong work ethic
  • Computer literacy for service reports, parts, and schematics
  • Able to obtain a police clearance
  • Current driver's license preferred but not essential

TAFE Studies:

TAFE will be completed in blocks, and commitment is of the utmost importance for progression in this apprenticeship.
