The primary function of this role is to carry out a variety of painting trades tasks, including equipment operation, surface preparation and coating application.

This position requires strong technical skills and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various pieces of equipment, including blast pots, spray guns and dry spray pumps, while ensuring a safe and environmentally friendly working practice.
  • Mix paint and coatings to achieve the desired colour and consistency.
  • Hold general construction industry training certification (white card).
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team, as required.
  • Understand surface preparation techniques and apply finishes accordingly.
  • Be able to complete works to specifications and understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges.
  • Mix two-part paint coatings correctly and select paints, varnishes and stains for various surfaces using brushes, sprays and rollers.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces, erecting scaffolding and ladders where necessary.
  • Clean equipment and work areas regularly.
