We are seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team at GFG-Alliance Manufacturing. You will have support and autonomy in managing the breakdown and preventative maintenance for the manufacturing site.
Duties include:
- Execution of preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Providing timely feedback via the maintenance management system
- Working as an efficient team member and liaising with the production team and other trades in the workshop
- Completion of all tasks safely and to a high quality
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic candidate who can demonstrate the following:
- Holding a relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Possessing exceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Having a proactive approach, while holding safety, customers, and teamwork as core values
- Being a confident communicator who can work unsupervised
- Experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics would be advantageous
- Ideally, a background in Heavy industry or Steel manufacturing environments
