Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of the Commission's ICT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and data centres.
  • System Administration: Manage the configuration, deployment, and administration of ICT systems and applications used by the Commission.
  • Performance Optimisation: Identify opportunities to optimise the performance and efficiency of ICT infrastructure and systems.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors who provide cloud or external services to the Commission.
  • Incident Response and Problem Management: Lead the response to ICT incidents and problems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Continuity Planning: Develop and maintain ICT continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in ICT operations, infrastructure management, and security management within large, complex organisations, preferably in the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, and data centres.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing vendors and external service providers.
  • Excellent knowledge of ICT security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage ICT operations teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
