**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician at our busy distribution center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance activities associated with Mail Processing Equipment. Your goal is to ensure the mail service and production standards at all Parcel Processing Facilities are met.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Ensure safety is always paramount in all activities and adhere to occupational health and safety policies.
  • Perform maintenance activities, including corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance, considering operational requirements.
  • Accurately record all plant and material maintenance transactions using SAP.
  • Work collaboratively with operations and other service groups to achieve high levels of reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Be able to work at heights from mobile platforms.

**Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and monitoring Mail processing equipment and systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Participation in performance monitoring, commissioning, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Experience working in a team-based environment and effectively communicating with operations and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize SAP as an information tool.
  • Exposure to PLC and variable speed drives is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

**Qualifications**

The minimum qualifications required for this role are:

  • A current Victorian Electrical License (Certificate III in Electro Technology or equivalent).
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate III or higher.

**Preferred Qualifications**

We would be impressed if you have:

  • A Certificate IV in Electro Technology (Systems Electrician) or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management).
  • Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Experience in IT, Data communications is highly desirable.
  • A High Risk Licence in Elevated Work Platforms.
