Job Description">

As a Patient Service Assistant in the Mental Health Inpatient Unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality care for patients.

The unit is a unique and challenging environment that requires dedication and compassion. You will work closely with nursing staff to provide exceptional patient service.

  1. Ensure areas are cleaned and disinfected according to infection control policies and procedures.
  2. Assist with repositioning and lifting of patients, as well as transportation to various departments and locations.
  3. Service and distribute patient meals, water jugs, and menus, including setting up meal trays and serving morning, afternoon teas, and supper.
Required Skills and Qualifications">

You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.

  • Compassion and empathy when interacting with patients and their families
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Physical stamina to perform duties such as lifting and repositioning patients
