We're a fast-growing Australian scale-up reimagining business banking and payments, and we're looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join our team.
As a Cloud Engineer at Zeller, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining highly available and secure AWS environments. You'll work closely with our cross-functional team to ensure the smooth operation of our systems, from process automation to CICD pipeline management.
About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with experience in maintaining AWS environments, process automation, and designing and developing CICD pipelines. You'll be responsible for architecting and implementing compliant, efficient, and secure CICD and application infrastructures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing IAC using AWS Cloudformation, Terraform Cloud, and GitHub Actions
- Configuring and administering monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana, and Cloudwatch
- Designing highly available and secured network architectures (VPC, subnet, route tables, DMZ, NAT, IP whitelisting)
- Building pipelines for microservice and serverless deployments (AWS Lambda, API Gateway)
- Architecting and designing multi-region cloud deployments
- Developing strategies to optimize cloud and infrastructure costs
- Managing AWS Cloud services, including CloudFormation, VPC, Subnets, EIP, EC2, VPC Peering, PrivateLink, Direct Connect, Security Group, ACL, VPN, Loading Balancing, Route53, CloudFront, ECS, ECR, Auto-Scaling, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, System Manager, Parameter Store, Certificate Manager, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch logs, events, triggers, CloudTrail, X-Ray, Organisation, Single Sign-On, Lambda, API Gateway, and AWS config & Guard Duty
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a talented Cloud Engineer with:
- Proficiency in automating infrastructure processes using Python
- In-depth understanding of maintaining and enhancing security within AWS environments
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and performance tuning
- Strong expertise in designing and deploying infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform Cloud, and GitHub Actions
- Extensive experience with monitoring tools like Datadog and Grafana to ensure system health and performance
- Knowledgeable in network design, including subnets, route tables, DMZs, NAT, and IP whitelisting
- Familiarity with microservices and serverless technologies, particularly AWS Lambda and API Gateway
- Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including clustering and replication strategies
- Strong understanding of cloud security models and best practices
- Proven track record in maintaining mission-critical, high-load production systems with an SLA of 99.999%
