About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Developmental Educator to join our interdisciplinary team at Everyday Independence. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with participants and their support teams to develop personalized plans that promote independence, confidence, and inclusion.
- Provide person-centered support and guidance to help individuals overcome barriers and achieve their desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent participant outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and expertise.
About You:
- You hold a Bachelor or Master's degree in Disability or a related field, and have relevant experience working with people with disabilities.
- You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on empathy and understanding.
- You are a passionate advocate for social model therapy and its application in promoting inclusive practices.
- You are eligible to become a Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
- You hold a valid driver's license and are able to travel to meet participants' needs.
