Key Responsibilities

This role plays a pivotal part in FleetPartners' financial services, focusing on data-driven decision-making. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and managing residual values for vehicles within the company's fleet.
  • Establishing maintenance budgets for various asset classes to ensure efficient operations.

Our analyst will work closely with the Sales team to provide day-to-day residual value and maintenance recommendations for customer quotations and competitive tenders. This involves analyzing large volumes of motor vehicle sales data to identify price trends and movements that inform residual value decisions.

Data Analysis and Forecasting

Utilizing Excel for complex analysis, modelling, and calculation of forecast residual values, our ideal candidate will possess expertise in quantitative analysis, leveraging multiple variables to drive accurate predictions. Familiarity with motor vehicle specifications and market trends is essential for supporting this process.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for maintaining residual value and maintenance tables within the relevant system, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes. They will also support business efforts to manage both residual value and maintenance risks across designated portfolios.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative or commercial discipline.
  • Proven experience in commercial analytical roles, including valuation, forecasting, pricing, and costing.
  • Proficiency in SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An appreciation of the motor vehicle industry.
  • Skill in quantitative analysis and application of qualitative insight to derive forecast valuations.
  • Leasing or automotive sector experience would be advantageous.
