About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our global team at Macquarie. As a key member of our database delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering solutions and support for our evolving database environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, upgrade, and maintain the database fleet
  • Provide feedback on the health of the environment and create automation for repeatable requirements
  • Provide systems support and deliver database projects
  • Assist in database design patterns and disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Involved in database system builds, installations, provisioning, deployment, and development

Requirements

  • Experience in a Database Administrator role with a strong primary skillset in Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server
  • Experience with Ansible, Perl, and/or shell scripting
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex database problems
  • Knowledge of ITIL practice and demonstrable experience with change management processes and procedures
  • Experience with Cloud deployments
