We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. This is a Full Time opportunity that offers a range of challenges and rewards.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing interior and exterior surfaces by removing old paint, filling cracks and holes, sanding, cleaning, and sealing to ensure smooth and durable paint application.

They will also apply paints, primers, sealers, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns to achieve desired colour, texture, and protection—both for general and industrial painting projects.

This includes protective coating application, where the painter will use weather-resistant and heavy-duty coatings for outdoor or high-traffic surfaces to ensure long-term durability and structural protection.

In addition, they will mix and match paint colours and finishes to meet client specifications and maintain consistency across large-scale surfaces such as commercial buildings and warehouses.

Other responsibilities include operating and maintaining tools and equipment like spray guns, scaffolding, and pressure washers, and working closely with supervisors, project managers, and other tradespeople to meet deadlines and deliver quality results on time.

Quality control and inspection are also key aspects of this role, as the painter will conduct regular inspections throughout and after completion of work to ensure painted surfaces meet professional and client standards.

Finally, they will follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines, especially when working at heights or with hazardous materials, and set up safety barriers, wear PPE, and ensure safe work practices.

Requirements
  • Cert III in painting and decorating
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience
  • High attention to detail
