Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at The Decipher Bureau in Sydney. As a key member of our cyber security team, you will be responsible for administering and managing cyber toolsets, implementing and maintaining security services/tools, responding to vulnerabilities, and working closely with vendors to improve cyber hygiene.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain cyber toolsets such as Netskope, R7, and CrowdStrike.
  • Implement and maintain security services/tools to mitigate cyber risks.
  • Respond to vulnerabilities and manage vulnerability remediation.
  • Collaborate with vendors to enhance cyber hygiene and posture.
  • Assist with coordinating pen tests with external vendors.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need prior experience in a security operations environment, broad technical expertise, and a good understanding of security frameworks like NIST, E8, ISO27k. Familiarity with agile ways of working, configs, patching, and secure admin practices is also essential.
