Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to oversee and manage our financial activities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and examine financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze accounting systems and procedures.
  • Provide financial advice to management regarding cost reduction, revenue improvement, and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant taxation, legislation, and statutory reporting obligations.
  • Conduct internal audits and review financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor expenditure and recommend budgetary controls to align with business objectives.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and systems.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting or financial management experience.
  • CPA/CA accreditation (or working towards) is highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Work Location:

Based in Canberra, ACT. On-site position (in-person attendance required).

Compensation:

$80,000 – $90,000 per year.
