About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and supportive Home Care Employee to join our team at Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT. As a Home Care Employee, you will play a vital role in empowering older people to live independently and safely in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to clients, including meal assistance, transportation, and social activities.
  • Assist with personal care, showering, and bathing, as well as domestic assistance and light household cleaning.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and their families to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Certificate 3 in Aged or Individual Support, Community Services, and Disability.
  • Medication competency - desirable.
  • Compassionate interpersonal skills and an empathy with older people.
  • Current driver's license and car with full comprehensive insurance.
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis using your own vehicle.
  • Time management skills.
  • Reliable and trustworthy - our clients are dependent on you.
  • Ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
  • Proven Aged Care or NDIS services background.
  • Excellent customer service skills and enjoy working independently and remotely in customers' homes and in the local community.
