Occupational Therapist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Napa Centre.

The successful candidate will work closely with children diagnosed with neurological disorders, helping them achieve their goals in improving function across motor, coordination, behavioral, and sensory skills.

Our therapy programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, incorporating diverse techniques from both traditional and non-traditional therapies, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Developmental Feeding services, NeuroSuit Therapy, CMI/DMI/Medek Therapy, and SpiderCage therapy, all under one roof.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized intensive therapy programs for children with neurological disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with other allied health professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for children.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other medical professionals.
  • Display a high level of professional empathy towards clients and develop strong rapport-building skills.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Applied Science or relevant Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited University.
  • Current registration with AHPRA, Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Good physical health and fitness, with the ability to engage with children, lift/move children, stand/sit for extended periods, and engage in activities on the floor.
