Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medicine and Respiratory Inpatient Unit at NSW Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.

About the Role:

  • Provide nursing care to patients in the Medicine and Respiratory ward, prioritizing their needs and working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Lead, direct, and supervise other nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care and patient safety.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.

Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Experience in Medicine and Respiratory care, with a commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
