Job Title:

A Social Worker Role in Oncology

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Grade 2 Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in the oncology wards.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to consumers through proficient clinical skills, effective communication, and demonstrate developing professional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to consumers in the oncology wards
  • Work effectively as part of a diverse team and autonomously as required
  • Supervise students and junior staff members at least biennially
  • Initiate and participate in teaching, training, research, and quality activities

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW
  • Previous hospital Social Work experience
  • Evidence of current CPE, as per AASW requirements
  • A strong commitment to high-quality care
