Civeo is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Analyst to contribute to our environmental initiatives and drive meaningful change. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and reporting on our sustainability performance, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to reduce our environmental footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track progress towards our sustainability goals, including energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, water use, and waste management.
- Conduct research and collect data from various internal and external sources to support sustainability reporting and analysis.
- Develop and implement data collection methodologies and reporting processes for sustainability indicators, including energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, water use, and waste management.
- Perform data validation and statistical analysis to support sustainability reporting and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate and monitor greenhouse gas emission levels and develop reports, presentations, and action plans to reduce these levels.
- Monitor and report on regulatory requirements, market trends, and industry developments related to sustainability.
- Write reports describing findings, recommendations, and overall impacts, and identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for follow-up action.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
- Experience with environmental and sustainability monitoring and reporting, including energy use and greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, and water use.
- Understanding of greenhouse gas estimation methodology and accounting standards, including scope 3 emissions.
- Knowledge of corporate sustainability frameworks and industry best practices.
- Working knowledge of sustainability legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
- An eye for detail and comfort with working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and autonomously.
