The Information Access Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and managing Freedom of Information (FOI) and information access and disclosure activities that impact government operations.
This key position is responsible for developing a culture of continuous improvement to maximise best practice for FOI and information access and disclosure across the Department, through example and education.
The successful candidate will provide leadership, training and guidance to staff to ensure a high-quality customer experience that aligns with the Department's values and community expectations.
They will negotiate and conciliate information access outcomes in line with the Department and community interests.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation relating to information access and sharing, including FOI.
- Experience in managing teams and providing guidance and support to staff.
