Job Title: Project Operations Manager

As a seasoned leader, you will oversee regional projects business to deliver exceptional solutions that meet customer expectations within financial performance targets. Your expertise in project management will ensure timely completion of projects, exceeding customer satisfaction levels and delivering cost-effective results.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the overall responsibility for completing projects, ensuring delivery is on time and within scope with zero or positive deviation.
2. Maintain high customer satisfaction through prompt issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts.
3. Own project financial performance, monitoring weekly and reviewing estimates versus actual across the project deck to enhance operational metrics.
4. Drive costs down to be competitive by implementing effective methods, standard processes, and collaborating with the Supply Chain team.
5. Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available while controlling inventory levels.
6. Collaborate with all project bids to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and achievability from a General Manager standpoint.
7. Complete and document subcontracts, risk registers, labour profiles, and bid qualifications covering site and project elements.
8. Obtain project sign off on all project bids.
9. Adhere to relevant project procedures, including monthly financial calendars, and undertake efficient contract management and cost control in conjunction with Projects Managers, Commercial Managers, and Contract Administrators.
10. Manage the performance management process, conducting appraisals, providing coaching, training, career planning, development, salary administration, and reward and recognition for the project team.
11. Develop strong relationships with Sales and Service Leaders to facilitate effective sales to operations handovers, optimized resource utilization, and maximized service pull-through.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess 10+ years of experience in a team project leadership role, directly managed project portfolios inclusive of substantial projects with significant value. They must have thorough knowledge of leading and developing a project field operation and financial management. The ability to lead and influence others, understand financial data at contract level, and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved is also essential. Additionally, they should have a proven track record of success in driving costs down and maximizing productivity.
