Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Officer to join our Emergency Retrieval team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing medical support and care to patients in remote and rural areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality medical care and support to patients in emergency situations.
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • To participate in a rotating training program to develop your skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in medicine.
  • Advanced trainee status from one of the following colleges: CICM, ACEM, ANZCA, ACRRM (with JCCA/DRGA).
  • Completed a minimum total of 18 months critical care time (ED and ICU) and 6 months anaesthetics.
  • Experience in managing critically ill patients including trauma.
  • Ideal candidates will have completed ALS, APLS, ATLS (or equivalent).
  • Recent practice in a critical care environment.
Benefits
  • A base salary of $203K inclusive of 20% shift worker loading.
  • Housing allowance of $30,000.00 per year or RFDS provided housing for full-time employees.
