About the Opportunity
Mercy Health is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Acute Surgical Ward. As a public hospital, we have an exciting growth strategy which will lay the foundation for the future and provide opportunity for professional development and career progression.

As a Registered Nurse in our Acute Surgical Ward, you will work with a collaborative, driven and supportive multidisciplinary team with the primary focus of delivering holistic patient centered, timely care. Our ward cares for a variety of specialties, including Urology, Gynaecology, Colorectal, Orthopaedic, Breast and General surgery.

  • Provide quality client focused care to the patient, their family and carers utilising a holistic approach
  • Form an integral part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers, while upholding a high level of professionalism

  • Previous experience in Acute surgical nursing is highly desirable
  • Post graduate qualification in Nursing/ Surgical Nursing (desirable)
  • Excellent clinical knowledge, assessment and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse multidisciplinary teams
