Are you ready to take the next step in your insolvency and restructuring career? At RSM, we're looking for a driven and experienced professional to join our Canberra office as a Senior Manager in our Restructuring & Recovery division.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Senior Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in managing formal insolvency appointments and advisory engagements. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and managing personal and corporate insolvency matters

• Providing specialist advice to clients and internal teams

• Leading and briefing staff, allocating tasks, and overseeing performance

• Applying deep knowledge of case law and statutory requirements

• Monitoring and meeting statutory deadlines

• Overseeing asset realisation processes

• Conducting interviews with directors and bankrupt individuals

• Liaising with financiers, legal professionals, agents, and auctioneers

• Sharing insights on market trends and best practices

• Reviewing and mentoring junior team members

• Designing and analysing financial models and investigative reports

Resolving complex accounting and financial issues

About you:

What You'll Bring:

We're looking for a confident leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering results. You'll need:

Essential:

• A degree in Business/Commerce with an Accounting major

• A completed Law degree with an interest in insolvency

• CA qualification (or equivalent)

• 8+ years in professional services, with 4–5 years in a leadership role

• Strong ethical standards and business development experience

• Excellent time management, communication, and analytical skills

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively

• Experience dealing with banks, lawyers, and other professionals

Desirable:

• Completion of the Insolvency Education Program (ARITA)

• Experience preparing budgets and cashflows
