Salary:MP Year 1-9 $336,466 - $427,886 p.a. pro rata (inclusive of base salary and applicable allowances)

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term and Casual appointment/s at various hours for 5 years.

Position Profile

We are seeking to establish a pool of skilled and suitably experienced individuals to the role of Consultant - Physician - Geriatrics. Leading the Community Health in a Virtual Environment (Co-HIVE) multidisciplinary team to provide specialist services to patients, providing medical support and management as required to the patients enrolled in the service. Promotes patient safety and quality of care. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training and other health workers. In collaboration with the Head/Deputy Head of Department and other Consultants works to achieve national, state and EMHS performance standards and targets. Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the EMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

Our hospital network works together to provide a combination of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women’s, children’s and neonates services.
