About the Role
Based in Brisbane CBD, this is a great opportunity to join a team of dedicated Signalling Engineers supporting Queensland Rail’s South East Queensland operations.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-level technical expertise across our signalling systems and infrastructure, helping to ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our network.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Providingengineering support and safety adviceto internal stakeholders and project teams.
- Investigating signallingfaults and failures, including conductingroot cause analysis.
- Conductingasset inspectionsand supporting maintenance strategies.
- Supporting thecommissioning of signalling upgrades, includingLevel Crossing improvements.

With 5,700km of track across regional Queensland, your work will directly contribute to the resilience and efficiency of our rail network. You could be involved in projects such as:
To be considered, you’ll need a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic) or be nearing completion of your studies.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A sound understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply them to solve practical problems.
- Working knowledge of computer control systems and engineering software tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.
- An interest in rail signalling systems and a proactive attitude to learning in a safety-focused environment.
