Abby Health is Australia’s busiest online clinic, built for the future of primary care. Founded in 2023, Abby was established to address one of the most urgent issues in Australian healthcare: access. With one in three Australians now without a regular GP, we're reimagining how people access everyday care—without losing what makes care personal: long-term relationships and detailed patient histories.
We connect patients to licensed GPs and nurse practitioners through same-day, online first care—delivering high-quality treatment for everyday issues, from headaches to herpes, coughs to cramps, and everything in between. Behind the scenes, we use structured patient histories, smart intake tools, and streamlined workflows to make every consult feel more like self-care.
Our approach is guided by three core values: Smart – Intelligent systems that surface what matters, when it matters; Beautiful – A thoughtful, intuitive experience for patients and clinicians alike; Caring – Human support, continuity of care, and relationships that last.
We believe the future of primary care is affordable, same-day, and online first. A system where most care is delivered remotely—supported by pre-diagnosis tools, wearables, alerts, and proactive follow-up. In-person visits become the exception, not the default. It’s a smarter, safer, more efficient model—one that finally puts patients first.
About the Role
We offer fully remote / flexible / full time / part time / casual opportunities across Australia 7 days a week from 5.30am to 11.30pm. We offer a transparent and competitive remuneration model, including $150+ per hour, no lock-in contracts, and minimal post-consultation admin.
- $150+ per hour
- No lock-in contracts—work on your own terms
- Medicare rebates only, ensuring a high volume of patients without financial barriers
- Minimal post-consultation admin—our support team handles patient follow-ups and documentation
Who We Are
We bring together experienced medical professionals and innovative thinkers to build the future of primary care. Our culture is built on collaboration, adaptability, and shared problem-solving. All practitioners on Abby Health are fully licensed, Australian-based nurse practitioners (NPs) with years of experience.
How You Will Make an Impact
At Abby Health, we care for a diverse range of patients, from young professionals managing their health on the go to rural Australians who struggle to access in-person care. Many of our patients don’t have a regular GP or NP, so they rely on Abby for trusted, ongoing support.
What You'll Do
As a Telehealth Nurse Practitioner at Abby Health, you will provide virtual consultations and patient assessments, helping individuals across Australia access quality care from the comfort of their homes. Your role will involve:
- Conducting virtual consultations via phone and video for general health concerns, chronic conditions, and acute presentations
- Providing prescriptions, referrals, pathology requests, and ongoing treatment plans
- Reviewing structured patient histories before consultations to improve clinical efficiency
- Carrying out follow-ups and long-term care management, ensuring continuity of care
- Supporting a diverse patient base, including individuals in regional and remote areas who may have limited access to in-person care
- Setting your own schedule, with a minimum commitment of 6 hours per week (up to full-time availability)
- Using our cloud-based practice management system, with real-time support from our medical team
What We Offer
Work from anywhere, anytime. Whether you want to set your own hours or balance work with life, we give you the flexibility to create your schedule. We offer industry-leading rates and bulk-billing options, so you can provide great care while getting paid for your time and expertise.
Support and Culture
Our support team responds to clinician requests in under 9 minutes, so you always have fast, reliable help when you need it. We promote psychological safety, equity, and mutual respect, which we believe are crucial for both clinician well-being and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner
- Medicare Provider Number eligibility to claim, refer, and request services
- Proficiency with digital patient management software (telehealth experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing time effectively
