About therole:
Are youpassionate about youth mental health and ready to make a realimpact in your community? At headspace Emerald, we're on thelookout for an enthusiastic Cultural Diversity Community EngagementWorker to join our supportive, purposed-driventeam.
In thisrole, you'll help to bridge gaps, build trust and promote mentalwellbeing among young people. This role is all about making ameaningful impact through community engagement, education andadvocacy.
Whatwill a typical day look like?
- Coordinate anddeliver community awareness activities to promote headspaceservices.
- Engage and supportyoung people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD,and LGBTIQA+ backgrounds.
- Develop andimplement a Community Awareness Strategy focused on inclusionand mental health literacy.
- Organise healthpromotion events and special activities to encouragehelp-seeking and reduce stigma.
- Build strongrelationships with community networks and represent headspaceacross agencies.
- Support youthparticipation through the Youth Reference Group and co-createpromotional materials.
MandatoryRequirements:
- Certificate IV inYouth Worker/Community Services or similar field

- Apassion and genuine desire to make a difference in the lives ofCentral Queenslanders.
- Proven ability tobuild and maintain relationships with a variety ofstakeholders.
- Theability to identify and embed solutions.
- Demonstratedexperience working within a high-performance framework whereyou are accountable for KPIs on program delivery and outcomes,within a face-paced solutions focussed environment.
- Effective timemanagement and organisational skills.
- Astrong communicator, able to quickly build rapport andinfluence across a diverse range of people.
OtherRequirements:
- Ability to obtain aBlue Card (working with children check positive notice orexemption)
- Ability to obtain aYellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemptionnotice)
