Senior Solution Architect
Lead Architecture & Delivery Readiness
We’re seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join a fintech company and act as the technical leader reporting to the CTO of this medium sized organisation.
This is a permanent position and the work arrangement will be hybrid with an average of 3 days per week in the office.
This role owns the end-to-end solution architecture for products and platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across all initiatives.
You’ll provide architectural clarity, uplift delivery readiness, and lead a small team to deliver high-quality requirements and user stories.
What You’ll Do
- Architectural Leadership: Drive solution design, patterns, and standards for new products, features, and compliance initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Product, IT, and Operations to ensure technical feasibility and architectural integrity.
- Team Management: Lead and develop Business Analysts, ensuring clarity and quality in requirements and specifications.
- Delivery Readiness: Influence prioritization, sequencing, and sprint preparation to enable predictable, high-quality delivery.
- Compliance & Security: Embed security-by-design and ensure adherence to PCI DSS, AML/CTF, and Australian Privacy Principles.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years in Solution Architecture or complex systems design.
- Strong development background with hands‑on coding experience.
- Proven leadership in managing small teams and influencing Agile delivery.
- Expertise in integrations, APIs, microservices, and architectural governance.
- Experience in regulated environments or fintech/ payments or similar.
- Certifications like TOGAF or AWS/Azure Architect are a plus.
