The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist / Specialist / VMO (FRANZCP) to provide clinical leadership and patient care within an Acute Inpatient Unit in Western Sydney.

Take advantage of a flexible psychiatry locum role within one of NSW's busiest and most well-supported metropolitan mental health services.

This acute inpatient opportunity offers stable block work across three days per week, with on‑call responsibilities and the option to contribute to ECT.

- 3 days per week, with on‑call commitment

- Block booking from September through December

- Well‑established mental health service within Western Sydney Local Health District

- Daily rate up to $3,000/day

Clinical Environment

- Manage diverse acute inpatient caseloads

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of registrars, nurses, and allied health

- Access to ECT sessions (desirable but not mandatory)

- Strong consultant network within a major Sydney LHD

Eligibility Criteria

- AHPRA Specialist Registration (FRANZCP)

- Psychiatry Consultant / Specialist / VMO experience

- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check

- Australian working rights

- Willingness to complete hospital onboarding and credentialing

Location – Western Sydney
