Position Information
Blue Haven Public School provides a quality education in a contemporary setting. It is situated in the suburb of Blue Haven on the Central Coast.
Blue Haven Public School caters for approximately 635 students across 25 mainstream and 3 Multicategorical Support Unit classes. There are 151 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students within the school's student population. Blue Haven Public School is an active member of the Tuggerah Lakes Network and enjoys positive partnerships with both the Muru Bulbi AECG and the Blue Haven Parents and Citizens Association.

Specific Selection Criteria
- In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and primary with exceptional skill in evidence-based, explicit teaching, differentiation and effective feedback, underpinned by high expectations.
- Demonstrated use of evaluative practices at all levels to improve and monitor school-wide improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, leading and monitoring HPGE initiatives, including using data, leading a team and delivering high-impact professional learning.
General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
